This year's date for the Vermont Super 8 Grand Depart is Friday, September 22, 2023. As in years past, there's no registration fee. To participate, follow the instructions on this page for sending in a 2023 Letter of Intent.

Options this year are 280, 375, and 655 miles, although exact distances are liable to change as the route is re-finalized this summer. Lots of rugged surfaces! 45mm is the minimum recommended tire size (minimum 🤏!), with 2" being a popular choice for successful riders in the past.

The full course gpx file will be released this summer.

The main group start is in Montpelier, but simultaneous group starts anywhere along the route are welcomed, such as from Derby Line or Brattleboro.

Riders are asked to minimize the carbon impacts of their travel to the event. Carpooling or coordinating public transit (e.g. Amtrak, see resources) is highly encouraged. Riders choosing to use air travel to get to VT for the ride are asked to purchase carbon offsets. Please reach out if you would like help with any of this.
